Portuguese is a language that sings, and never more so than in poetry. With Émilie, come and meet the great Lusophone voices, from Fernando Pessoa to the poets of Brazil, Angola and Cape Verde. We read, we listen, we savour the texts in the original and in French, and we share what they stir in us. A friendly gathering, open to all: no knowledge of Portuguese is needed to let the words carry you.

A former head of rural schools in Argentine Patagonia, Paola Trubiano will introduce us to the world of María Elena Walsh (1930-2011): a writer, poet, composer and singer who deeply shaped Argentine and Latin American culture. Her songs, poems and tales, full of poetry, humour and fantasy, continue to accompany several generations and remain a major reference of Argentina's cultural heritage. On the programme: - An introduction to the work and legacy of María Elena Walsh - Readings of selected poems and texts - Conversation, anecdotes and memories of Argentina - Discovering an essential figure of Latin American literature and song A warm moment to share over a maté, between literature, culture and conviviality. With no academic pretension and no aim to be exhaustive, Isabelle, founder of Le Lab, shares a few readings from contemporary Korean literature. An anti-classical literature? From Han Kang, winner of the 2024 Nobel Prize in Literature, to Lee Seung-U, she opens a few truly extraordinary pages and invites you to discover a genuine literary continent. In the same spirit, simply and without aiming to be exhaustive, Isabelle takes you to meet the great Japanese authors of the 20th century. Modern, yet not Western: from the Meiji Revolution and the opening of Japan, a generation of writers invented a singular literature. A wander between the lines of Soseki, Ogai, Tanizaki, Kawabata and Mishima, in a sharing of readings open to all. An open gathering for all, free, on registration. No prior knowledge required.

Step into Argentine indulgence with alfajores de maicena, delicate cornstarch cookies filled with dulce de leche and rolled in coconut. With Emanuel, you'll make them from start to finish, in a warm and friendly atmosphere. And of course, the workshop ends with a tasting all together, over a coffee or a mate, Argentine style.

Discover two everyday Japanese essentials: onigiri, the hand-shaped filled rice balls, and miso soup, comforting and full of umami. Over an hour and a half, you'll learn to make them yourself, from well-seasoned rice and fillings to the dashi broth. At the end, we taste them together — and you leave with the know-how to make them again at home.

Come learn how to make your own pizza with a (nearly) pizza maker! Head to Italy for an afternoon. With Cristina, get your hands dirty: prepare, stretch, and top your homemade pizza, then enjoy it together on site. A delicious and friendly experience, suitable for all levels, without leaving the Bugey region. Discover. Create. Taste.

Gyudon is Japan's ultimate comfort bowl: thinly sliced beef and meltingly soft onions, simmered in a sweet-savoury sauce and served over piping-hot rice. Over an hour and a half, you'll learn to make it from start to finish, from the homemade sauce to plating the bowl. At the end, we taste it together and you leave with a quick recipe to whip up on busy evenings.

A workshop to learn how to make the emblematic pastries of Portugal and Brazil. You prepare pastéis de nata (the famous Portuguese flans) and brigadeiros (Brazilian chocolate truffles) yourself, step by step. We taste on site, in a friendly atmosphere, and we even take the opportunity to exchange a few words of Portuguese. You leave with the recipes and your achievements.

Say hello to gyoza, the Japanese dumplings that are crisp underneath and tender on top. Over an hour and a half, you'll make the filling, then learn the signature hand-pleating, the part that's most fun, before the pan-frying that turns them golden and soft. At the end, we taste them together and you leave with the technique to make them again at home.

The bento is the whole art of the Japanese meal in a single box: balanced, colourful and beautifully arranged. Over two hours, you'll put together your own (rice, a small protein, vegetables and decorative touches) while learning the presentation tricks that give it all its charm. And of course, you leave with your bento, ready to enjoy wherever you like.

A parent-and-child workshop to create and perform a kamishibai together, the Japanese paper theatre. The script is provided, already written and translated. You start by making the scenery from pre-cut pieces to glue and colour in, then you rehearse the story in Japanese before putting it on in a little final show. A single 3-hour session, to share as a family.

Three mornings to step into the world of manga, pencil in hand, with Ayumi. No need to know how to draw: we start from the basics, in a caring, non-competitive atmosphere where everyone moves at their own pace and dares to show their drawings. Over the course of the workshop, you explore the world of manga and get to grips with the fundamentals of drawing, from faces and expressions to creating your own characters. Ayumi starts from what you love to read and watch, and shapes the workshop around the group's interests, with simple techniques that gradually grow more advanced. Ages 10 and up, open to all, beginners and the more experienced alike. A 3-session workshop of 3 hours each: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 9am to 12pm. In a small group. A workshop to enjoy as a family, from age 9 to 99, to get started with graffiti, pencil and markers in hand. No walls and no spray cans: you draw on paper, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Killian, an artist from graffiti culture, tells you a little about the history of this movement born in the streets of New York, then guides you step by step: choosing your name (your tag), drawing your letters, playing with styles, fills and outlines. Everyone leaves with their own drawing and, above all, a good moment shared together. No prerequisites, beginners welcome, parents and children alike. Price: 10 euros per participant.
